Perth’s Loafers Artisan was formed in 2009 by Alaine Guthrie and Damian Norvilas who decided it would be a great idea to bake a few batches of loaves and rolls and hold a stall at Subiaco Farmers Market.

The experiment was originally intended to be a one-off event for fun but when all their bread had sold out within a couple of hours, the pair realised they were onto something – there must be something special about the bread they were producing and so Loafers Artisan Perth was created.

The rest, as they say, is history. Alaine has since moved on from the business with Damian continuing to grow the business as a highly successful artisan.
