OUR STORY

Perth’s Loafers Artisan was formed ten years ago by Alaine Guthrie and Damian Norvilas who decided it would be a great idea to bake a few batches of loaves and rolls and hold a stall at Subiaco Farmers Market. The experiment was originally intended to be a one off event for fun but when all their bread had sold out within a couple of hours, the pair realised they were onto something – there must be something special about the bread they were producing and so Loafers Artisan Perth was created. The rest as they say, is history. Today they are proud owners of a highly successful artisan bakery and have recently located to Malaga as our growing bakery needed more space.

Perth based Loafers Artisan was the first of its kind in Western Australia and a new generation of bakers was created with an emphasis upon producing something completely different by experimenting with new recipes to create exceptional baked goods.

Damian is a very experienced baker and food scientist, while Alaine is a hospitality professional. Together the pair created a dynamic duo and with their skill sets complimenting each other so well, their business has continued to grow from strength to strength as an artisan bakery.

Loafers Artisan does not simply bake bread – we continually strive to go above and beyond to give our customers something unique and a taste experience with that all important “wow factor”
